Post exams!

Oh dear.. the exams are not even here yet and I'm all hyped up about my post examinations activities. That can't be a good thing, can it? Let's see what are my plans for the not so distant future...
I wanna learn japanese!! So I can sprout off jap in the car with Amanda while my mum talks to her friend in Malay.. Hahaha.. Plus, it will be a big bonus if I learn the language well enough such that I can use it in any future jobs.
I wanna get a job!! I need ka-chink to go on holidays! (Japan! Australia! Taiwan!) Shopping for my manga and anime will take up quite a bit of cash.. so I need money! Plus, I need to go and girlify myself.. tt means skirts, dresses, shoes, jewellery, bags, make-up(ok.. b4 I get make-up, I need to learn how to not poke myself in the eyeball with the mascara wand.. ok.. not tt it has happened before.. but...)
As for immediate post exams activities( Is there such a thing? ).. Hopefully, I have 4 sleepovers planned... one right after the exams, one in mid dec and one at the end of Dec and one yet to be planned. There's Baka Matsuri on dec26 for anime fans.. catch you there if u're coming.. as for tix, u need to ask amanda..
So who esle wants to go out after As? I'm up for dinners, lunches, high teas, suppers, hahah.. as long as I can eat, I'll probably will.. getting a controlling device to curb my eating at the end of this year. As for what it is, you'll find out at the end of this year..
Or esle, anyone up for taking neoprints? hahah... movies? shopping? Slacking? chucking out all the junk in my room?

So long, farewell

Children:
There's a sad sort of clanging from the clock in the hallAnd the bells in the steeple tooAnd up in the nursery an absurd little birdIs popping out to say "cuckoo"
Marta, Gretl, Brigitta:
Cuckoo, cuckoo
Children:

Marta, Gretl, Brigitta:
Regretfully they tell us
Cuckoo, cuckoo
But firmly they compel us
Cuckoo, cuckoo
To say goodbye . . .
Marta, Gretl, Brigitta:

Cuckoo!
Children:
. . . to you
Children:

So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, good night
Marta:
I hate to go and leave this pretty sight
Children:

So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, adieu
Friedrich:
Adieu, adieu, to yieu and yieu and yieu
Children:

So long, farewell, au revoir, auf wiedersehen
Liesl:
I'd like to stay and taste my first champagne
Children:

So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye
Kurt:
I leave and heave a sigh and say goodbye -- Goodbye!
Brigitta:
I'm glad to go, I cannot tell a lie
Louisa:
I flit, I float, I fleetly flee, I fly
Gretl:
The sun has gone to bed and so must I
Children:

So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
Guests:

Goodbye!

Anyone watched The sound of music before? It's beautiful to watch and great to sing along to. Anyway, I was sitting right in front of my computer and wondering what on earth should I put on my blog to describe today's farewell assembly when this song popped into my head... I think it's a really nice song and in a way, it kind of says how everyone has to say goodbye at the end of a wonderful day.
For many of us, we have made fast friends in this unfamiliar environment called SAJC. Some of these friends, we may no longer be close to, while others are still kept dear to our hearts. Although we may not know what the future holds for us, I think we can safely say that these two years in SAJC has been an enriching experience and that whatever we learnt in SA can be applied in our future endeavours. Most of us have matured and come to know of our flaws as while as become accepting of them. At the same time, we also seek to improve ourselves and try to be more accepting of other people's flaws too. It seems odd to think of ourselves as newbies entering the junior college just last year when the two years that are coming to an end have been filled with so much fun, joy and laughter and experiences.
I use to wonder what life would have been like had I chose to go to NJC instead of remaining in SAJC. Afterall, NJC is a top 5 school and to many kiasu Singaporeans, ranking is everything. But after spending my JC life in Saint Andrew's, I guess it is true to say that,
"No one is here by chance."

Singapore idol!

Ok.. This is the first time that I'm watching the Singapore Idol finalists perform and boy, am I bowled over by their performance!

David Yeo... nice haircut.. Not too bad performance, he started the ball rolling..
Daphne.. I didn't like her much initially because I thought her voice was whiny but she did well tonight and her voice wasn't whiny at all.. She'll stay in the competition for quite some time..
Taufiq... I wasn't very impressed but his moves, dancing and singing were very well coordinated.. very smooth and suave, just like what Florence said..
Sly... pai kia hair.. but nice choice of song and not too bad performance..
Olinda... I think she could have done better and picked a better song.. Jiayou Olinda!
Christopher.. darling chrisypoo... why are u still in this competition??? U're like, banking on your cutenes factor and for a guy, it's a great turn off...
Maia... I thought she did well, apparently the judges didn't think so... But she's the sexiest in the competition so maybe she can stay a while...
Jerry... He reminds me of Casey Leong.. ahahahahah... he doesn't have a strong voice and i'm not impressed..
Leandra... Wonderful wonderful wonderful.. clear voice, great vocals.. Nice style.. She should make top 5 easily.. i would say top 3 if not for the fact that this competition is dependent on voting..

So good luck Oli and Leandra!
EviL me hopes Chrissypoo gets kicked out.. or esle, it wouldn't be fair.. i mean.. geez, what's so great about this guy who still thinks that he's a little boy? Sheesh..

Friendship~

"Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence. True friendship is a plant of slow growth, and must undergo and withstand the shocks of adversity before it is entitled to the appellation."
-George Washington
